Multiflash Windows GUI allows users to set up problems and to carry out calculations in a simple and rapid manner. It provides access to all Multiflash facilities and can produce output as text files, graphics or in Excel worksheets.
Multiflash is available as a Windows dll which runs under any 32 bit version of Windows. This may be called from any application written in a language that provides support for dlls. Examples include Fortran, C++ and Visual Basic.
Multiflash functions can be accessed from Excel in two ways. It is possible to obtain properties or do flash calculations by using the Multiflash worksheet functions that are provided via the Multiflash XLL add-in. Alternatively, the VBA language can be used to make calls to the Multiflash dll in the same way as from any VB application.
CAPE-OPEN (www.colan.org ) defines industry-standard open interfaces that allow interoperability of software components such as Multiflash with applications like process simulators. The Multiflash CO module supports versions 1.0 and 1.1 of the CO Thermodynamics and Physical Properties Interface.
