Infochem has two main software packages, Multiflash and FloWax.

Multiflash, a multiphase equilibrium package, is supplied as an interactive Windows program and as a DLL for linking to other Windows software or packages written in Visual Basic, Java or C++. Optional add-on modules are available which allow you to put together the package most appropriate to your needs. FloWax, currently released for Beta test and supplied as an interactive Windows program, predicts wax deposition in pipelines.

Multiflash
The standard Multiflash package includes equation of state, activity coefficient and transport property models, a full range of flashes, a phase boundary tracer, a 223 pure component databank, petroleum fraction correlations and a PVT Analysis facility.

Optional modules:
Excel, CAPE-OPEN and Matlab interfaces
The Multiflash DLL can be linked to Excel and function calls made to Multiflash facilities. The Multiflash CO modules implement version 1.0 of the standard and the interface has been tested for interoperability with Aspen+, ProII, gPROMS and HYSYS. An interface to Matlab/Simulink is also available.

Models
Optional models include CSMA, IAPWS95 and PC-SAFT. CSMA consists of high accuracy equations of state for individual pure components including light gases, hydrocarbons, refrigerants and water. The equation of state for steam/water, IAPSWS95, is available as a separate option. The PC-SAFT model is primarily used for the prediction of properties of polymer solutions.
Hydrate/Hydrate inhibition
Calculations of hydrate dissociation and formation can be carried out for hydrate structures I, II and H. Inhibitors include methanol, MEG, DEG, TEG, ethanol, isopropanol, propylene glycol, glycerol and salt.
Waxes
The wax appearance temperature and amount of wax formed can be calculated as a function of pressure from a PVT analysis of the fluid. There is a matching facility to tune the model predictions for known WAT.

Asphaltene
Infochem's asphaltene model calculates asphaltene flocculation conditions and the amount of asphaltene flocculated. Preferred input data are a PVT analysis, the amount of asphaltene, the resin/asphaltene ratio and one set of flocculation conditions, however, minimum input data are the PVT analysis and reservoir conditions.
Chemical Equilibrium
Provides calculation of simultaneous chemical and phase equilibrium. It includes a databank of pure non-reacting solids.
Databanks
In addition to the Infodata databank supplied as part of the standard Multiflash program we are distributors of DIPPR™ (over 1700 compounds).
FloWax
FloWax predicts the temperature, pressure and thickness of the deposited wax layer in a pipeline as a function of location and estimates pigging intervals to achieve a set criteria.
Fluid physical properties are calculated using the Multiflash wax thermodynamics. The user specifies the operating conditions and the pipeline topography, material and insulation and can modify other data such as the amount of oil trapped in the wax layer. A term for shear removal is an option.
