Recent projects have
typically included:
- Potential hydrate formation and inhibition
strategies for well start-up.
- Extending modelling
of thermodynamic properties of gas hydrates and hydrate inhibitors to heavier
oils in deeper waters.
- Feasibility study for modelling of hydrate
kinetics
- Asphaltene and wax
precipitation studies, including the effects of co-mingled production and gas
injection.
- Wax deposition in
pipelines; prediction of temperature, pressure and thickness of wax layer as a
function of location; suggested pigging frequencies.
- Studies of mercury
partitioning and drop-out in natural gases and condensates.
- Formation of solid
CO2 in turbines
- Dew point control and
related issues for gases and condensates.
