Multiflash Upgrade ( 3.6.35 )

The last version of Multiflash that was posted on our website was 3.6.28. There have been some bug-fixes and corrections since then. These are listed below. For the latest version of Multiflash 3.6.35, please contact us.

3.6.29
Correction to writing .mfl files. Databank information could be missing in certain (unusual) circumstances.

3.6.30
Assignment of mole number derivatives for physically unstable phases was incorrect. This does not affect users of the Multiflash GUI or Excel interface and only applies to low-level calls to the Multiflash API.

3.6.31
Corrected display of units for matching amounts of wax precipitated. Improved display for cases when there is a failure attempting to match a wax amount.

3.6.32
Corrected BWR(S) model. Derivatives were incorrect for the case of an unnormalized composition. This does not affect users of the Multiflash GUI or Excel interface and only applies to low-level calls to the Multiflash API.

3.6.33
The following change affects users of the wax model. The assignment of properties to pseudocomponents when n-paraffins are present was changed between versions 3.5 and 3.6 in order to improve bubble point predictions. However, we have noticed that for some heavy oils the properties of non-n-paraffin components can result in higher than expected viscosity and thermal conductivity predictions. On balance we feel that the previous method gives a better all-round performance and we have re-introduced this in 3.6.33.

This change does not affect the predictions of phase behaviour (eg. wax appearance temperature) for cases where a fluid has already been characterised in previous versions of Multiflash. For heavy oils there may be some differences in the viscosity and thermal conductivity. If a fluid is re-characterised the phase behaviour will be affected but the change should not be significant in most cases. We would recommend that version 3.6.33 (or higher) is used for any new wax studies.

3.6.34
Small correction was made in the unifac model which should not affect a lot of users.

3.6.35
. Unit conversion for diffusion coefficient was corrected.
